The latest EU ETS CAP3 auction cleared higher at €76.40/ton CO2e, compared with the previous auction on 16 January at €75.70/ton CO2e, according to EEX.

  • The auction price cleared at parity with the futures contract, compared with a 0.04€/ton CO2e discount in the previous auction.
  • The cover ratio was at 1.49 – below the five-year minimum.
  • There was a total of 24 bids with 23 successful bids.
  • The mean price was at €76.84/t CO2e and the median price was at €76.42/t CO2e.
  • EU ETS December 2025 allowances are trading slightly lower on Monday, after Friday’s rally, with downside from lower EU gas prices and forecasts for milder, windier weather.
    • EUA DEC 25 down 0.8% at 78.65 EUR/MT
