EU Gives Approval For Lubmin LNG Terminal

LNG

The Deutsche Regas operator has received approval from the European Commission for the new floating LNG Terminal in Lubmin, the company said.

  • The terminal is still waiting for the full approval of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to start full operations.
  • On Wednesday the terminal received from the state to feed in gas and start test operations. However, this is not the final approval, which will only be received after successful test operations.
  • The first gas, carried by the Seaspeak Hispania vessel, arrived on Wednesday morning at the terminal.
  • The terminal start up has been delayed several weeks, because of missing permits. Start of trial operations was previously scheduled for early-December.
