EU Imposes Sanctions On Chinese Individuals Over Alleged HR Violations

The European Council today announced the imposition of sanctions on a number of individuals, including four Chinese individuals linked to alleged human rights violations.

  • The four listed Chinese individuals are all officials or former officials in the Xinjiang province and have been sanctioned due to alleged human rights violations in relation to the region's Muslim Uighur minority.
