EU LNG Sendout Dips but Monthly Deliveries Set for Highest Since May

Northwest Europe has already received 61 LNG cargoes this month with another 15 expected before the end of the month according to Bloomberg ship tracking data. A total of 10 deliveries are currently scheduled from the first week of December.

  • A total of 60.5% of the current scheduled arrivals this month originate from the US with 14.5% coming from Russia and the remainder spread between 6 other countries. There was a total of 60 arrivals in NW Europe in October and 52 in September.
  • European LNG sendout was down at 374mcm/d on Nov 22 compared to flows of approximately 450mcm/d seen this time last year and the month to date average of 408mcm/d.
  • The Vivit Americas LNG vessel which has been floating since early September is due to unload this weekend. LNG volume at sea for at least 20 days has dipped below levels seen this time last year but is still near the five year range high at 4.1m metric tonnes having fallen from the highs in late October and mid November.
