EUR/PLN Hovers Above 4.30 Ahead Of NBP Governor's Presser

EUR/PLN remains afloat with buyer interest emerging just below the 4.30 figure on attempts to breach the level yesterday and this morning. The pair last deals at 4.3041, slightly higher on the session, but a move through Feb 7 high of 4.3564 is needed to ignite some initial bullish momentum. Bears look for a dip through the psychologically significant 4.30 level and the nearby Dec 13 low of 4.2935.

  • NBP Governor Adam Glapinski will brief the media on the condition of the economy and the central bank's latest monetary policy decision at 14:00GMT/15:00CET. This comes after the Monetary Policy Council (MPC) left interest rates unchanged, in line with expectations, with analysts still expecting a prolonged pause in interest-rate action.
  • POLGB yields are slightly higher at typing, amid upticks in CZGBs and HGBs. The WIG20 Index has come under pressure and last operates 1.3% below neutral levels after hitting its lowest point since mid-February.
