LNG
Europe is now awash with LNG cargoes it does not immediately need because of high storage levels and warm temperatures which are limiting heating demand.
- Idled LNG tankers are piling up off Europe’s coasts, pushing up a Bloomberg index to the highest level since at least 2017.
- Natural gas in Europe dropped below €100 per megawatt this week for the first time since June.
