European TTF Tumbles Back to Early Session Levels

TTF prices have fallen back again, hovering around early session lows before supply concerns prompted prices higher. The market had found strength on LNG import disruptions into France because of strikes and into the UK because of high winds.

  • The market is competing with reduced supply against weaker demand outlooks because the winter season is coming to an end. Gas will however remain in demand this summer as European nations aim to fill inventories ahead of next year.
  • High levels of US LNG is expected to arrive into Europe by the end of the month which is also adding a bearish factor.
  • TTF APR 23 down -7.6% at 48.86€/MWh
