Expanded Trans Mountain Pipeline is 70% Full: Company

Trans Mountain’s new expanded 890k b/d pipeline is to begin unloading onto tankers in mid-May after line fill is complete in the next few weeks, the company said.

  • Trans Mountain said in a press statement that the expanded pipeline is 70% full by volume.
  • Trans Mountain’s new tariffs and tolls for the entire 890k b/d system, including the old 300k b/d pipeline and the additional 590k b/d line will go into effect May 1.
  • A Bloomberg headline reported that Cenovus has 1.3m bbl left to add to the Trans Mountain line fill.
