MNI BRIEF: China Grid Investment Up 21.1% YTD
MNI (BEIJING) - China invested CNY398.2 billion in its domestic power grid between January and September, up 21.1% y/y, according to data released by the National Energy Administration on Monday.
As of the end of September, cumulative installed power generation capacity reached about 3.16 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 14.1% compared to the same time last year, the data highlighted.
On Saturday, the Administration announced total electricity consumption in September was 847.5 billion kilowatt hours, up 8.5% y/y, with usage between January and September up 7.9% y/y.
