DOLLAR-YEN: Extended its corrective pullback to Y109.07 during Asian trade
before consolidating around Y109.15 in early Europe. A mix of real money and
leverage demand for JPY was seen in the move. General pressure on the USD into
month- and year-end has been widely cited for this easing in the USD, with
traders aware that Tokyo will be out Tuesday through Friday, returning next
Monday. Support seen into Y109.00, strengthening toward Y108.90, a break to
expose Y108.70. Resistance Y109.50, Y109.68/71.
