MNI BRIEF: China Focus On Boosting Consumption In 2025

MNI (BEIJING) - China wil boost consumption and improve investment efficiency to expand domestic demand across the economy in 2025, CCTV News reported Thursday following the Central Economic Work Conference.

Authorities will implement special actions to boost consumption, and increase support for consumer trade-in and manufacturing equipment upgrade programmes, the meeting said, also increasing efforts to promote major construction projects for national strategy and security, the meeting added. They will also boost employment to avoid a large-scale return to poverty, improve medical and healthcare services and promote fertility, the meeting said.
