ExxonMobil's Joliet Restarting Units

ExxonMobil’s Joliet refinery in Illinois started heating its unit this week indicating a restart according to IIR.

  • The facility was knocked offline in July due to a tornado.
  • IIR estimates the refinery may restart operations in mid-August.
  • The shutdown has resulted in tighter fuel availability in the region.
  • The refinery primarily processes Canadian crude.
