Fed Powell, US CPI and Earnings the focus this week

BUNDS
  • There's very little change for Bund following the French Election, and although it has faded off Friday's best level, the contract remains close to that initial wide area of interest, the 131.15/131.52 gap, printed a 131.14 high on Friday, and 131.13 overnight.
  • The German Bond could still benefit from FTQ flow, but desks will also be looking to positions ahead of this week's main events.
  • OAT has seen a more notable move, after no French party won a majority to Govern the country, but the French 10yr Bond is still within Friday's range, and is finding a bid with Bund, post Cash open.
  • Main focus this week is on Fed Powell, US CPI, and Earning season starting on Friday for the US.
  • Today just sees, US NY Fed inflation expectations.
  • SPEAKERS: BoE Haskell.
