FERC To Authorise 8.4mtpa Commonwealth LNG

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will authorise Commonwealth LNG’s export project in Louisiana according to three commissioners.

  • Commonwealth LNG is developing an 8.4mtpa LNG export terminal on the US Gulf Coast near Cameron, Louisiana. The facility will have six 50k modular storage tanks and will be able to accommodate vessels up to 216k M3.
  • Preliminary site work is hoped to commence in early 2023 with official FID targeted for Q3 2023 and commercial operations to begin in Q3 2026.
