Finance Minister Says Government Committed To Reducing Fiscal Deficit

  • In a call with investors today, Finance Minister Rogelio Ramirez de la O said that the government is committed to cutting the fiscal deficit and that it will respect the independence of the central bank.
  • In a further effort to reassure investors amidst the sell-off of local assets post election, he also said that he will stay on in his role as finance minister for an indefinite period.
