Financial Services Equivalence 'Unlikely' By Year-End: RTE

Tony Connelly at RTE tweets: "New: the European Commission has told member states that a comprehensive equivalence arrangement for the UK on financial services is "unlikely" to be finalised by the end of the year, according to a source. Two temporary bridging equivalence arrangements have already been agreed: one for clearing houses, announced September, a 2nd, on central securities depositories, agreed yesterday. "We're working through the rest of the equivalence. It's not clear it will be ready by year end"."
