Financial Stability Report Due

  • Today at 1200BST/0800ET, the BCCh publishes its second semester financial stability report. President Mario Marcel presents the report in front of the Senate's Finance committee at the same time and holds a press conference on the report at 1600BST/1200ET.
  • Late yesterday, Senate President Ximena Rincon commented on a proposal for November 9 as the date to vote on the project for a fourth withdrawal of pension funds. Senators failed to reach an agreement yesterday.
  • USDCLP experienced two-way trading on Tuesday, continuing its consolidation with an 811.30-817 range. The outlook remains bullish as we approach the election and Firm short-term support is unchanged at 806.63, the Oct 14 low.
  • In polling news, candidate Boric leads Data Influye survey with 32% support rising 6.3 pp compared to the previous survey. Worth noting the continued momentum for Jose Antonio Kast who rises 10.9 pp to 27%, according to the same survey.
