Firmer Early Doors

JPY

Yen is on the front foot in the early part of dealings today. We are around 0.20% firmer than NY closing levels, which leaves USD/JPY close to 134.10 currently (lows for the session so far 134.02). This is sub lows in the NY session and looks to be a continuation of trends from that session. Earlier May lows come in around 133.50, which could be targeted if we see a break of 134.00

  • Cross asset moves are muted in terms of US Treasury and equity futures at this stage. We do have Japan data coming up and the BoJ summary of opinions from the last monetary policy meeting.
