Firmer On Improving Risk Sentiment

NZD/USD prints at $0.6090/95, the pair is ~0.3% firmer this morning.

  • The kiwi has firmed alongside US equity futures and regional equities on Friday as risk sentiment improves in Asia.
  • NZD/USD has faced marginally pressure ahead of the $0.62 and sits a touch below session highs.
  • AUD/NZD is firmer, however remains below the $1.08 handle for now.
  • Cross asset wise; US equity futures are firmer after Amazon gained 10% in post market trade following a bullish revenue forecast, e-minis sit ~0.4% firmer. The Hang Seng is up 2%. US Tsys have pared early losses and sit a touch firmer.
  • With this evening's US NFP print in view, wider swings in risk sentiment will be the main driver in NZD.
