NZD/USD prints at $0.6235/40, the pair is ~0.5% firmer today.

  • Positive risk sentiment in Asia, as the markets digests yesterday's Fed rate decision and press conference, has seen NZD/USD firm above its 200-Day EMA ($0.6229) and breach its post-FOMC high.
  • Bulls now target the high from 20 July ($0.6308).
  • AUD/NZD is down ~0.2%, the cross last prints at $1.08/60/70 well within recent ranges.
  • Cross asset wise; Hang Seng is up ~0.8% and Eminis are 0.2% firmer. US Tsy Yields are a touch lower across the curve, and BBDXY is 0.1% lower.
  • Looking ahead, on the wires early in tomorrow's session we have July ANZ Consumer Confidence. There is no estimate for the print and the prior read was 85.5.
