  • Attached as part of the Key Rating Drivers:
  • Chile's ratings are supported by a relatively strong sovereign balance sheet, with government debt/GDP well below peers, solid governance indicators and a track record of credible macroeconomic policies centered on an inflation-targeting regime and flexible exchange rate. These strengths are balanced by per capita income projected to remain low relative to peers, high commodity dependence and weaker external leverage and liquidity metrics. (Fitch ratings)
