Floating LNG Fell 14% WoW

The total estimated quantity of LNG on tankers that has not unloaded for at least 20 days fell by 14% over the last week to 2.91mn tons as of 28 January, according to Bloomberg estimates.

  • Volumes remained above the five-year average of 1.702mn tons and above 2023 levels of 1.882mn tons.
  • In contrast, LNG on water that has not unloaded for 30 days stood at 1.61mn tons as of 28 January, up from 1.474mn tons a week earlier and well above last year’s levels of 0.628mn tons.
