FM-Turkish Pres 'Sacrificing Econ To Support Hamas' w/Trade Restrictions

Wires carrying comments from Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stating that in response to Turkey'srestriction on exportsto Israel, the gov't of PM Benjamin Netanyahu would prepare its own trade restrictions on Turkish products. Katz says that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is "sacrificing Turkey's economic interests in order to support Hamas", and has "unilaterally violated" trade agreements between the two countries.

  • The Turkish export restrictions total 54 products that can now no longer be exported to Israel including aluminum wires, steel, cement, construction materials, granite, chemicals, pesticides, engine oils, jet fuel, and bricks.
