Foreign Min: I Will Continue Discussions w/US' Blinken On Sanctions

UKRAINE

In Washington, D.C., Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba states that he will continue conversations today with his US counterpart Anthony Blinken regarding sanctions on Russia. Blinken and Kuleba set to meet at 1400ET (1900GMT, 2000CET), before a joint presser at 1530ET (2030GMT, 2130CET).

  • Significant focus on the level of sanctions the US seeks to impose on Russia for the recognition of the DPR/LPR. Some confusion as to whether the White House has designated the Russian actions as an 'invasion' of Ukraine. An 'invasion' had previously been identified as the US as the red line that would trigger significant sanctions on Moscow.
