Francine Set  to Hit Louisiana Refining

ExxonMobil plans to cut its Baton Rouge refinery's 522,500 bpd capacity to as low as 20% by Wednesday ahead of hurricane Francine according to Reuters sources.

  • Exxon and Shell’s Norco, Louisiana refinery were planning to rely on "ridethrough" crews while the storm passes but plans full production during the period.
  • Marathon Petroleum has declined to discuss plans for its 597,000-bpd Garyville, Louisiana refinery.
  • PBF Energy's 190,000-bpd Chalmette, Louisiana refinery and Valero Energy's 125,000-bpd Meraux, Louisiana refinery are also in the path of Francine.
