Freeport LNG Train Repairs Lower Demand for US Gas: BNEF

Feedgas demand as of March 19 at Freeport LNG was 0.98 bcf/d indicating that train 3 is yet to fully resume, according to BNEF.

  • The train has been offline for repairs since January, when the facility was hit by winter-storms.
  • BNEF estimates that the train will be back online by the end of this week and that rolling repairs will continue until May.
  • Freeport’s feedgas demand has been revised down from 1.72 Bcf/d to 1.10 Bcf/d for March and from 2.04 Bcf/d in March to 2.04 Bcf/d in April.
  • This loosens BNEF’s gas inventory forecast by 35.22 Bcf.
