Freeport LNG Yet To Submit Request To Restart Texas Plant

Reuters has reported that Freeport LNG hasn't yet submitted the paperwork required to restart the Freeport LNG plant in Texas.

  • Reuters: "The lack of a request has raised questions about the company's ability to meet its latest restart timeline."
  • Freeport is aiming to restart the plant, the second-largest LNG export facility in the US, in mid-December following a six-month shutdown after a fire.
  • Freeport said in a statement: "Proposed remedial work activities for a safe restart of initial operations have been submitted to the relevant regulatory agencies for review and approval."
