POWER: French Nuclear Output in February Seen Above 2024 Levels

French nuclear output is forecast to average 45.1GW in February, which would be 2.4% above 2024 levels but down by 14% on the month due to lower fleet availability according to BNEF.
- French nuclear reactor availability is forecast to average 77% this month.
- BNEF forecasts French nuclear generation at 37.2GW during summer 2025 and at 42.8GW during winter 2025/2026 – revised up by 4.2% and 12.9%, respectively, from December forecasts.
- EdF raised its nuclear production target for 2025 and 2026 to 350-370TWh, from 335-365TWh previously. This includes output from the 1.62GW Flamanville 3 reactor.
- BNEF sees French nuclear output at 353TWh this year.
