French Refinery Strikes Seen Easing

Workers at TotalEnergies Normandy and Feyzin refineries decided to continue a strike today which has lasted almost four weeks.

  • Workers at TotalEnergies's La Mede refinery and at a storage site in Dunkirk in the morning chose to resume work.
  • Fuel shortages that impacted 30% of filling stations over the weekend had been reported to have fallen to around 20% yesterday and are now expected to ease further now that further refining capacity is coming back online.
