French Strikes Could Curb Refinery Runs By 500kbpd In March

Industrial action in France could cut refining runs by 500kbpd this months if the union follows through on threats to halt the Lavera refinery according to Energy Aspects.

  • Excluding strikes the Lavera sites, lost runs this months are estimated at 400kbpd, including the Donges refinery that was halted following a fault.
  • Refineries operated by Exxon Mobil and Total have cut fuels production as strikes continued for a third week.
