SOUTH KOREA: Further comments from the Ministry of Finance in the last ~20
minutes, as covered on Edge.
- Have noted that the third supplementary budget will likely be substantial and
funded by bond issuance, per BBG, that has weighed on Korean bond futures.
- Before that, officials confirmed that the authorities will create an SPV to
provide liquidity in the commercial paper & lower grade corporate bond markets
(covering 7 key industries) via a KRW40tn fund. N.B. This matter is in line with
reports made in the local media earlier this week.
