JGB futures briefly showed through their Tokyo highs in overnight dealing, before cheapening alongside U.S. Tsys, closing 4 ticks below settlement levels.

  • On the COVID front, Nikkei source reports have suggested that "Japan looks to let foreigners visit the country for short business trips, study abroad and technical training in an easing of its strict coronavirus-related entry rules," with an announcement on the matter possibly coming as soon as this week, ahead of implementation later this month.
  • BoJ Rinban operations covering 1- to 5- & 10- to 25-Year JGBs headline the local docket on Tuesday.
