Futures Look Through Overnight Lows

JGBS

JGB futures extended their overnight weakness at the re-open as onshore participants reacted to the cheapening seen in the likes of U.S. Tsys on Monday, although the move has since retraced, with the contract now -12 on the day, 10 ticks off worst levels of the session, as core FI markets find a bit of a base during early Asia dealing. The major cash JGB benchmarks run little changed to 1bp cheaper across the curve, with market functioning and liquidity matters remaining at the forefront of participants’ minds.
