Futures Lower After Tokyo Close, Wage Data & Rinban Eyed

JGBS

JGB futures struggled in post-Tokyo trade ahead of the weekend, with the weight in U.S. Tsys dragging the contract lower, leaving it -10 come the bell, a little off worst levels of the day. U.S. Tsy futures have regained some poise after an early look lower this week, with the local spill over set to dominate early Tokyo price action given the lack of major domestic news flow evident since Friday’s Tokyo close.

  • Today’s domestic docket includes wage data, BoJ Rinban operations covering 1- to 5 & 10- to 25-Year JGBs, BoJ fixed rate operations and outdated meeting minutes from the BoJ’s March MPM.
