Futures Lower Overnight On Wider Impetus

JGBS

JGB futures shed 16 ticks during overnight trade, finishing just above worst levels of post-Tokyo dealing, as broader core global FI markets came under pressure.

  • Still, U.S. Tsy futures have inched away from Wednesday’s lows ahead of the Tokyo re-open, with the U.S. warning that Russia may deploy chemical and/or biological weapons in Ukraine.
  • There hasn’t been much in the way of major domestic headline flow since the Tokyo close.
  • A quick look to the local docket reveals that PPI data provides the major domestic data release on Thursday, although JGB participants will be more concerned with the latest round of 20-Year JGB supply.
