GILTS: Futures Stick Within Yesterday's Range

Early weakness is Bunds prevents gilts from retesting yesterday’s high.

  • Futures last 91.91, early range 91.79-92.03.
  • The technical downtrend in the contract remains intact, although it is in oversold territory.
  • Initial support at 90.71, with resistance at 92.08.
  • Yields flat to 1-2bp higher.
  • SONIA futures in line with pre-gilt open levels, flat to +4.5. BoE-dated OIS also little changed vs. pre-gilt open levels, last showing 51.5bp of cuts through ’25.
  • UK headline flow remains muted.
  • Little of note on the UK calendar ahead of the weekend, which will leave focus on macro and cross-market cues. The U.S. NFP release headlines the global calendar.
