Futures Tight Overnight, 40-Year Supply Eyed

JGB futures shed 1 tick in overnight dealing, after oscillating around Tokyo settlement levels, with no clear impetus derived from a lacklustre round of U.S. Tsy trade.

  • The Japanese border reopening drive has garnered much of the attention when it comes to domestic headline flow, with local reports pointing to selected tourists being able to return to the country from 6 June.
  • After market remarks from BoJ Governor Kuroda provided nothing in the way of fresh. meaningful information. Note that Kuroda is set to make another appearance in front of parliament this afternoon. Thursday will also bring the release of the latest round of Japanese services PPI data and 40-Year JGB supply.
