Futures Twist steeper Overnight, U.S. Tsys Drive Move

The futures curve twist steepened during the final overnight session of last week, with the weakness in U.S. Tsys applying pressure to XM, although YM was a little more resilient. YM +1.0, XM -4.2 come the bell.

  • Broader domestic headline flow was relatively limited over the weekend, with questions re: the re-opening timelines in Australia evident. We also saw some of the usual hawkish commentary re: the Sino-Aussie relationship from the Global Times.
  • The latest round of scheduled RBA ACGB purchases headlines the local docket on Monday.
