GBP Volatile, Settling Higher on Brexit Headlines

GBP/USD acutely volatile on Brexit headlines, with the EU's Sefcovic releasing a post-talks statement clarifying that both sides are to significantly intensify contact in the coming days and there is political will to move at pace on both sides.

GBP/USD initially dipped to 1.2969 before bouncing sharply to settle at around 1.3004 in recent trade. Gilt futures swing lower in tandem, shedding around 8 ticks to trade at 136.45 last.
