GBPUSD hitting the day's highs and knocking...>

CABLE
CABLE: GBPUSD hitting the day's highs and knocking above $1.22 as focus turns to
Parliament. PMQs coming up shortly - likely to provide a lot of noise, but
relatively little signal before the more important parts come later today, with
the vote on rebel bill later today.
- With Bill intended to rule out no deal Brexit likely to pass in Commons, the
major event of the day will be whether gov'ts motion to call early election
passes.
- 2/3 MPs support needed, meaning Labour votes are crucial.
- Lab not presenting a wholly united front. Brexit spokesman Starmer says 'We
are not going to be voting with Johnson today', but party sends email to members
stating 'It's on', referring to election.
- Motion to be presented after 1900BST/1400ET, following 2nd and 3rd readings of
European Union (Withdrawal) (No.6) Bill.
- A united front from opposition could be enough to defeat gov't again.
