ITALY: General strike in Rome crippling services in the city, and piles pressure
on Mayor Virginia Raggi who is facing calls to resign. 
- Raggi became mayor in 2016, and in doing so became one of the first candidate
from the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) to take the mayoralty of a
major Italian city. 
- Next election is not due until 2021, but Raggi is even facing criticism from
those within her own party for the parlous state of the city's public services,
with rubbish going uncollected, roads in disrepair, and public transport
infrastructure crumbling.
- The anger directed towards Raggi could prove a concern to M5S leadership,
which remains in coalition with the centre-left Democratic Party at the national
level.
