German Gas Consumption 14.8% Below 2018-21 Average Last Week

German natural gas consumption last week was 14.8% below the 2018-21 average, down by 0.3% on the week, Bnetza data showed.

  • Industrial natural gas consumption edged down to 1,607GWh/d last week, from 1,640GWh/d the week prior.
  • Gas demand from households and small businesses rose to 1,416GWh/d, up from 1,392GWh/d the week before.
  • Natural gas inventories in Germany stood at 66.50% on 12 March, down from 68% the week prior, GIE data showed.
