German Gas Demand Unchanged at 18.2% Below Normal in Week 51

NATURAL GAS

German natural gas consumption last week stood 18.2% below the 2018-21 average, unchanged from the previous week, Bnteza data showed.

  • Industrial gas demand was 22.5% below the average while household and business demand was 14.1% below as temperatures were on average 0.1°C above the seasonal norm in the week.
  • German gas storage levels increased on the week to 90.84% of capacity as of 27 December compared to 90.58% on 19 December.
