German Gas Stable Despite Reduced Nord Stream

NATURAL GAS

The Germany Network Agency reports the gas supply in Germany is stable despite lower flows through Nord Stream 1.

  • They say the declining flows from Nord Stream 1 are a result of market activity and trading behaviour. The decline is also a result of the gas volumes not flowing because of the halt in gas supplies to the Netherlands and Denmark.
  • The Austrian CEGH Remit notice suggests there is a scheduled regular internal inspection of the Nord Stream's offshore pipeline system with variable partial capacity restrictions until 17th June.
  • The annual inspection for Nord Stream 1 is scheduled for 11th to 21st July. While the maintenance is underway, it will not be possible to transport gas through the pipeline and less gas can be injected into German storage at this time.
  • Current storage levels at the storage facilities in Germany are 54.22 %.
  • TTF trading up 1.4% to 83.6€/MWh.
