German Jan-Nov Oil Imports Rose 9.4% YoY

German crude oil import volumes in the first eleven months of last year rose by 9.4% year on year as the economy recovered from Covid-19, BAFA data showed.

  • Total oil imports for the Jan-Nov period stood at 80.8mn tonnes, up from 73.9mn tonnes a year earlier.
  • In the Jan-Oct period, Germany imported 73.6mn tonnes, a 11.1% year-on-year increase.
  • Russia remained the top oil supplier with a share of 26.2% of all German oil imports.
