German July Power Erases Gains on Gas

German July power base load has erased earlier gains from an intraday high of €78.48/MWh amid a steeper decline in European gas prices with further confirmation of a return of the Norwegian supplies following an unplanned outage due to repairs required to the Sleipner riser platform.

  • The unavailable Nyhamna capacity is set to reduce to 44.8mcm/d from June 7 and Easington capacity reduction to 18.5mcm/d on June 7 according to the latest Gassco update.
  • Gassco yesterday suggested the repair schedule from the operator of the Sleipner riser platform was expected to take two days.
