 See the latest German wind output forecast for base-load hours from SpotRenewables vs Bloomberg’s ECMWF model for the next seven days as of Thursday afternoon.

  • Both models have similar wind forecasts on 14-15 February and 17-18 February, with the smallest deviation on those days at between 0.26-0.81GW.
  • The largest deviations are seen on 20 February and 22 February as SpotRenewables estimates wind to rise at a slower pace compared to ECMWF on 20 February, while the models are diverging on 22 February amid ECMWF forecasting wind to fall. The deviation on those days is between 7.4-8.7GW.
  • Despite these differences, both models suggest wind to be higher over 19-22 February compared to wind over 14-18 February.
