Germany Sees High Occurrence of Negative Prices in June, July

German power prices during hours 13 and 14 fell into negative territory 40% of the time in June and July according to energy analyst Julien Jomaux.

  • High solar PV output has pushed prices into negative territory with solar PV output averaging 12.68GW so far this month and 12.50GW in June, Entso-E data showed.
