BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: Gilts are the outperformers in core fixed income this morning as
the fall out from yesterday's Supreme Court ruling continues with parliament set
to reconvene at 11:30BST. Risk-off flows in the pound have been driving gilts
higher. On the Today programme earlier today, Labour Leader Corbyn went the
furthest he has to committing to an election in November after an extension to
no deal has been agreed.
- Equity markets have also been on the backfoot this morning and Bunds have
drifted higher. However, USTs are little changed on the day (although they have
retraced most of the losses seen in the Asian session).
- Looking ahead there are speeches from BoE's Carney, ECB' Couere and the Fed's
George and Brainard (although none of these are likely to discuss monpol). The
only notable monpol speech scheduled if from the Fed's Evans.
- TY1 futures are down -0-2 today at 130-21 with Bund futures up 0.04 at 174.77
and Gilt futures up 0.27 at 134.04.
