GILT SUMMARY
GILT SUMMARY: Gilts have moved higher today with the moves at the time of
writing largely in line with Treasuries over the course of the day. It's been a
fairly uneventful day with focus in gilt futures largely on rolls with 91% of
the roll now complete.
- Political pressure continue to build on the ruling Conservative party as the
story about Dominic Cummings being creative with lockdown rules still not going
away. There have also been comments from chief Brexit negotiator Frost and
Minister Michael Gove discussing the deterioration in discussions with the EU
over the future EU-UK relationship. Although there seems to be moves in
sterling, not much was new and there has been little reaction in gilts.
* Jun Gilt futures (G) up 23 ticks at 138.23 (L: 137.8 / H: 138.31)
* UK: The 2-Yr yield is down 0.8bps at -0.025%, 5-Yr is down 1.6bps at 0.003%,
10-Yr is down 2bps at 0.195%, and 30-Yr is down 2.6bps at 0.615%.
